My attempt at a proph WOH build
I was planning to run with something like this
<pvxbig>
[build prof=Mo/E][Word of Healing][Dwayna's Kiss][Mend Ailment][Reversal of Fortune][Healing Seed][Protective Spirit][Cure Hex][Rebirth][/build]
</pvxbig>
I currently have proph and eotn. I took the standard pvx woh build and replaced the skills I dont have to ones i found similar, but i am too noob to know what I am doing. I was hoping to fit in [glyph of lesser energy] but im not sure what to ditch for it.
If someone could take a look and lend a hand it would be great.

The res, think about it, what should a monk do when things get hot and people start dying?

You could ditch Cure Hex since you have Dwana's Kiss or whatever. Also, res chant is better not sure which expansion that is.

Imho
Replace RoF with GoLE if you are in a bad team.
Replace Rebirth with GoLE if you are in a good team.

so you have eotn but you dont have patient spirit in the build. not sure if this was intentional or not but i would bring it. also monks dont need to bring a res.

Run away and blame the wammo.
Which reminds me, always make sure there is a wammo on your team so you can make him take the blame.
And res chant is factions and cure hex is GW:EN so both should be replaced for a proph only build.

thanks for the responses. I dunno that i could give up the rez tho. My group and i are all pretty new and its nice having it at times. I am considering ditching rof for it tho. Its a nice skill, but i dont really like the mechanics of it i guess.
So im guessing something like this
[build prof=Mo/E][Word of Healing][Dwayna's Kiss][Mend Ailment][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Healing Seed][Protective Spirit][Cure Hex][Rebirth][/build]
what are the thoughts on healing seed? I dunno how i feel about it but i havent played around with it much.

Oh god, please remove Rebirth. Monks shouldn't have to run rez of any sort. Only do so if you feel your pug is incompetent.
If you have EoTN, why don't you have Patient spirit in this bar?
Please drop Healing seed. Vigorous spirit is the way to go, but Patient Spirit is top priority.
You should be fine without GoLE if you don't spam Prot Spirit and if your team is competent.
Please post your attr points.

id say we are pretty incompetent. we are all fresh out of warcraft lol. Im down with picking up both spirit skills, but not sure how id get them. I am only lvl 10 so far and have been unlocking skills through faction points and then buying them from the skill trainer. Probly a noob idea but i dont want to play through half the box to get skills that are worth a crap.
for attributes i was going to do what they have in the woh build
healing 12+1+2
protection 9+1
divine 9+1
I can see how this would be killer
[build prof=Mo/E][Patient Spirit][Dwayna's Kiss][Word of Healing][Vigorous Spirit][Mend Ailment][Cure Hex][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Protective Spirit][/build]
just seems a little lite on prot skills, but hell whatever works. I hate giving up rez, but you guys know better so ill try it lol.

Should you choose to run guardian, I recommend making divine 8+1 and prot 10+1 so you have 6 sec guardian. You should be running Guardian anyway.
About Hex removal - monster in certain areas spam ALOT of hexes and often removing one or two just doesn't matter. In that case, Holy Veil may be a better idea if you know you're running into monsters that cast hexes or you can be brave and just screw hex removal (like 90% of the hexes monsters cast are pretty harmless). It's stuff like Soothing Memories, Faintheartedness, and Migraine you should watch out for. Take this with a grain of salt, this is just a suggestion and you should try it out.

I have been playing with guardian in pvp just for lack of anything better while i grind out points, and i really liked it but didnt know if it was worth using in pve. how about swapping out cure hex for gaurdian? I see what you are saying about the constant hex spam. A lot of times it feels like a waste of energy to remove cause it is immediately reapplied.

If you have cure hex, you should have patient spirit. Patient is good. Having aegis is much more useful than guardian in PvE, but guardian is pretty good as well. I usually leave it to my heroes for condition removal, or just bring enough party healing to not care about the conditions. It's often the case that it's not worth using 5e to remove the condition from 5-6 players on your team when you can just heal party the bars back up.

[cure hex][patient spirit][Aegis][woh][glyph of lesser energy][protective spirit][mend ailment], and possibly [guardian].
You won't need guardian so much as you have Aegis, but guardianing things in PvE is good general monking practice for keeping awareness up, so I'd recommend it.

I find it sufficient enough just to have Aegis on the MM bomber of a discordway/sabway necro and just use guardian. Maybe switch out Aegis for something else.

personally I'd prefer [skill]mend condition [/skill] or [skill]mending touch[/skill] over [skill]mend ailment [/skill] only because it heals only for each remaining condition, wouldn't you just prefer to take a condition off and have it heal?
just my guess

I would replace healing seed for aegis and keep rebirth for pugging.

Hi socalledsin i find your build good enough given the constraints of not having the full expensions. The inputs given are good points but i feel its only a matter of taste. Example, some like their sandwiches toasted, some love it with mustard, some love it with etc etc etc.
The general concept of a WOH hydrid is shown in the build u have.
WOH hybrid monks cant do without skills, WOH of course, Prot spirit, condition removal, dwyana's kiss , a hex removal, a rez (some folks see the need some do not its an option). The only spell that may seem a little out of place is healing seed, u might want to put in GLOE for it. Guardian in place of reversal of fortune.
Just try out all the varients posted. Play the one you are most comfortable with.
2 other "soft skills" for monking. That give u 10/8 skills^^.There is more to monking than builds alone, know when to use the right spell at the right time. Do not heal if team mates are close to full health. Enchant prot spirit on potential "spike" targets before agrroing mob.

I'm guessing if you and your friends are new to GW coming off a WoW kick that you probably have voice chat, like Ventrilo.
If so, have them call hexes to you. Some hexes you can leave on them (like [[Suffering] for example... -3 degen shouldn't kill anything that wasn't already going to be dead in a matter of seconds) while others can completely shut you down.
It's all just a part of learning a new game, you'll pick up quick.
Good Luck!
